Tong Kee Egg Tarts

I love egg tart since high school if I remember correctly; even the normal type of egg tart with hard skin selling in my school I also can't resist eating it everyday.

The only egg tart that I will regularly buy in KL and recommend to friends, unfortunately only Tong Kee alone. There are few branches of Tong Kee within Klang Valley, today I bought these from Sri Petaling Tong Kee's outlet, selling at RM1 per piece. Normal days I usually get this from Jalan Tun HS Lee. Tong Kee's egg custard is always well prepared, soft and not too sweet, it fits my tastebuds but I'm not sure is it fits yours.

Always hoping we can have old type coffee shop selling egg tart everyday like what we've seen in Hong Kong drama series, but we only have new 'cha chaan teng' selling egg tart dunno prepared by which sifu everyday.

Heard there is one very famous egg tart in Ipoh, selling fast in the afternoon but I've no chance to try it yet, and I also don't know where the address is. If you tried it before, and think it's worth to try, please let me know where is it, and what time I should 'Q-up' there, if needed.

Heya! The egg tarts from Chopsticks Noodle House at Midvalley are great too! They have a stall in front of KFC on lower ground floor for dim sums and egg tarts. But you have to be lucky though. Cause the egg tarts arent fresh out of the oven sometimes. But still taste quite nice when its cold and u're hungry :P

I am not sure if you meant Hong Kee egg tarts in Ipoh, but I have the address. It is at 14, Jalan Cockman. No idea on the location coz I got these great tarts from my aunt. Not going to start a discussion on which egg tart is better, but give it a try and judge it yourself! :)

Oh I just ate them last Friday. Very nice indeed. But apparently there's a nicer version in Sri Petaling as well. In a HK cafe named Miu Kai, just a stone's throw away from Tong Kee.

How about butter bao (奶油包) from Miu Kai? They offered 4 different flavours as well.

To try out great egg-tart, u may visit Rasberry cake house at Bandar Sunway, just behind The One Academy institution. I'm quite particular when it comes to egg-tart too and luckily I've found Rasberry!
