Recently chat with a friend about Hong Kong dim sum (she's almost Hongkist...) and from her description, seems dim sum over there is really fantastic. She's surprise when I told her some restaurant serves flowy custard bun (e.g. SOHO) here. So I convinced her to visit those dim sum restaurants, hopefully she can point to me any of them has quality close to Hong Kong's restaurant.Location :

I do agree with you, the dim sum at Ho Choong Tuck is not too bad for its price.

The dim sum at the last pic looks kinda special.
wmw : the price is very reasonable, any other good place you can suggest?
cass : thanks! luckily nothing happen to me after breakfast that day ;-)
jason : it's sort of Chinese sausage on top of siu mai (if that's the one you refer to).
actually the only thing i like there is the nasi lemak operating out of stand in front of the restaurant. i am not coming back here for the dim sum again.
Do try A Little Dim Sum Place in SS2. Place is clean, air-conditioned and comfy. Food is not bad too.
of course the dim sum in HK has range and depth, more showy and then high price ! Have u tried the Sri Petaling one by the roadside ? Also got many choices
Agree wiv teambsg, the dimsum varieties at the Sri petaling roadside are quite appealing.
Been to Hong Kong once, wat i recalled from the authentic Hongkie dimsum is the generous stuffing of big crunchy juicy prawns. Serving is larger than KL's dimsum too.
chiefeater : thanks for the info! i like nasi lemak too ;-)
Precious Pea : Tried already. They are not bad, but need to wait a while for food...
team BSG : yea... more choices there, but I will hope the quality also good. so far, I didn't find any there.
Xiu Long Bao : big crunchy juicy... that's the trick (and a must) for all good foods I think!
