We have been visiting Lam Heng since... 8 years ago if I'm not mistaken, or maybe more than that. It's also running by 2 old ladies, that's why this place colloquially known as "sister char koay teow". Lam Heng usually packed during breakfast hours, char koay teow is just one of the stalls in this cafe, there are also other stalls selling yam cake (which is very good too), Lo Bak, dim sum, etc.
As you may notice from the picture, this char koay teow is topped with some shredded crab meat, not too dark in color and less ingredients. With these plain combinations but yet able to prepare a scrumptious meal, that's the secret of sisters (RM 3.50). Most of the customers here are actually revisiting, because the taste not easy to get bored, you basically can eat this every week.
Beside the char koay teow, this yam cake also highly recommended (RM5) by me, some of my friend even buy whole box back to KL every time they drop by. Lam Heng yam cake is made from high quality taro, they mashed it finely and cook in a big wok at the kitchen, you can always check it out.If you're from Komtar to Macalister Road, you will never see this shop because you need to come from another end of the road, which is a one way street. I will try to draw a map later as it's quite late now already. (map updated on jan-13!)
