Restoran Desa Petaling

Sometimes I will just opt for simple Chinese food at roadside, cheaper as compare to big restaurant but occasionally will have surprise.

Restoran Desa Petaling 高原天天来, this is my 2nd visit here, first time was CNY gathering with ex-Comliners. This restaurant offers lot of varieties, especially if you want to have personal meal... but I'm too hungry tonight, so I've ordered 3 dishes, portion just nice for 2 persons.

Salad Pork Ribs (one of their signature dish), Kai Lan and Salted Eggs Sotong. All of these cost me only RM 27.60 (+ 2 drinks)... The ribs were just nice, vege a bit salty and sotong not crispy but quite special (cause cooked with salted eggs), so overall I think still worth the price. A friend of mine told me they are also good in Fried Udon, but I would like to leave it next time when I'm alone. :p

Tai Chow places always very good value for money. The salad ribs look yummy.

littleguykitchen : Opps.. sorry, I don't think they serve vegetarian food.

boo_licious : I usually refer this kind of shop as "Tai Chow" too... but some of my friends when mention about "Tai Chow", they will think it only serve those fried noodles (Hokkien Mee, Singapore Bihun, etc.), I also dunno why.

That's d place where tables are set on the 'padang', rite? I've been to the corner Mamak shop called ABC which is quite crowded at night. Teh Halia and Roti Canai are good but one have to have a lot of patience with the service - foreign waiters.
